Food Town opens in Santa Fe, Texas, in late July of 2025.

Houston’s Food Town grocery is pleased to announce a new location in Santa Fe, Texas. The independent chain opens its doors July 29 at 12460 Highway 6.

Food Town’s newest location, its 28th across Greater Houston, offers fresh produce delivered daily, quality meats cut in-store and everyday essentials families rely on. An on-site Service Center allows customers to pay bills, play the Texas Lottery, wire money and take care of other tasks during weekly grocery errands. Meanwhile, an independently owned on-site bakery will offer fresh cakes, pastries and treats.

Food Town’s goal is to provide convenient access to quality products at budget-friendly prices, President Mike Lewis said. Stores are located near residential neighborhoods and regularly cater their inventory to the area’s unique needs and preferences.

“Our region’s diversity is part of what makes it special,” he explained. “If there’s an international product or hard-to-find brand our neighbors want, we’ll try to make it available. We want to be good neighbors, because the Houston area is our home, too.”

The Santa Fe store’s location, the site of a recently vacated grocery store, is another way the company looks out for its community, Lewis added.

Studies show that occupying existing retail space, as opposed to building new, has long-term benefits for a community, he explained. At the same time, a new Food Town helps ensure residents have continued access to groceries and other essentials.

“It’s important to give people options when it comes to their shopping,” Lewis said. “We think this is a win for everybody.”

Food Town plans to celebrate with a soft opening featuring deals and discounts unique to the Santa Fe store. As opening day approaches, Lewis said the team looks forward to showing its neighbors what Food Town is all about.

“It’s always exciting to bring Food Town to a new neighborhood, get to know the people who live and work there, and really carve out your place in the community,” he said. “We’re grateful for the chance to serve the people of Santa Fe.”

Food Town’s Santa Fe location will be open seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Service Center hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Normal Operating Hours:
Monday – Sunday | 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
