Food Town is proud to announce our Houston grocery chain was named among the winners of the first-ever Exceptional Independents Awards. Presented by “The Shelby Report,” awards were open to independent retailers, wholesalers and those who specialize in providing technology and various services.
“The Shelby Report” is an industry publication which focuses on supermarket and grocery news, trends and advances. It’s an honor to be recognized by an organization so respected in our field — and heartening to have been nominated for the award to begin with. Food Town was nominated by one of our vendor partners, and we are grateful to know they value us just as much as we do them. After all, none of what we do would be possible without quality products on our shelves and trusted relationships with those who provide them.
We’d like to thank “The Shelby Report” for this tremendous honor, and to congratulate our fellow award winners. Operating an independent business is a reward in itself, but admittedly it isn’t easy. This recognition serves to reinforce the fact that the hard work is well worth it.
