Prep: 5 min Cook: 10 min
Servings: 4
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 lb. tenderized beef cutlets, cut into strips
2 tbls. vegetable oil
1 cup finely chopped onions
1 packet McCormick Brown Gravy Mix
1 cup water
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
Add the beef strips to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the flour mixture.
Transfer the coated beef to a plate, shaking off any excess flour and discarding it.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and heat until it is very hot.
Add the beef and onions in a single layer. Do not stir for the first 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, flip the beef and stir frequently until the meat is fully cooked.
Sprinkle the Brown Gravy Mix packet over the cooked beef and stir to combine.
Add 1 cup of water to the skillet and stir.
Lower the heat to a simmer and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes.
If you prefer a thinner gravy, add additional water as desired.
Serve the beef in gravy with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
