Food Town is honored to share some exciting news. We were recently recognized as a 2025 Texas Lottery® Top 100 Retailer in the Texas Two Step® category, placing us among the state’s top-performing retailers for this popular game!
The Texas Lottery does more than offer players the chance to win big. Lottery proceeds help fund important programs across the state, including public education through the Foundation School Fund and services for Texas veterans through the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance.
According to the Texas Lottery, statewide sales generated $7.91 billion during the 2025 fiscal year. That includes more than $1.77 billion for the Foundation School Fund and $31.17 million for the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance.
Those numbers jump to an astonishing $36.36 billion+ contributed to Texas public education, and $296.30 million+ for Texas veteran services, between the lottery’s start in 1992 and the end of February 2026.
