Air Fryer Cheesy Dorito Bombs

6-8 servings

Prep time 15-20 min

Additional Freeze time 20-30 min

Cook Time: 5-6 min per batch

  • 2 eight oz. bricks cheddar cheese (1 lb)
  • 2-3 cups Taco or Nacho Cheese Doritos chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • salt & pepper, to taste

  1. Cut each block of cheese into 8 rectangles (can also cut into smaller strips or triangles)
  2. Crush Doritos into fine crumbs. Set aside.
  3. In a shallow pan or bowl, beat the eggs. In a separate shallow pan, place flour then season it with salt and pepper. In third shallow pan, place crushed Doritos chips.
  4. One at a time, dip the cheese rectangles into the seasoned flour then into the egg mixture. Next, press the cheese triangle into the crushed Doritos, fully coating all sides. Use your hand to press in the crumbs.
  5. Place coated cheese triangles in a single layer on baking sheet covered with parchment paper (or oil-sprayed pan), then freeze for 20-30 minutes until the cheese is frozen.
  6. Preheat Air Fryer to 400 degrees F.
  7. In batches, place frozen cheese into greased Air Fryer basket (in single layer). Cook for 3 minutes. Use spatula to flip cheese and cook another 2-3 minutes until crispy.
  8. Serve with salsa or dipping sauce of your choice
