Cream Cheese Salsa Dip

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend, finely shredded
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced


  • ¼ cup jalapenos finely chopped and drained
  • chopped tomato for garnish


  1. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and salsa with a hand mixer until fluffy.
  2. Fold in cheddar, green onions, and optional jalapenos.
  3. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.  Top with chopped tomato and shredded cheese if desired

To Serve as a Hot Dip

Combine all ingredients except the shredded cheese in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat stirring until smooth and melted. Add the shredded cheese and cook just until softened.
