Easy Air Fried Pizza Pockets

Serves 3-6

Cook Time 4-6 min

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Sara Lee® Butter Bread

3 Cheese Pizza Pocket:

  • ¼ cup marinara sauce
  • ¼ cup shredded Mozzarella
  • ¼ cup shredded Cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan

Meat Lovers Pizza Pocket:

  • ¼ cup marinara sauce
  • ½ cup shredded Mozzarella
  • 9 pepperoni slices
  • ¼ cup ground sausage
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Preheat air fryer to 325˚F. Slice the crust off each slice of bread, roll flat with rolling pin, and set aside.

For 3 Cheese: Place 3 slices of bread on a nonstick baking tray and spread a tablespoon of marinara on each. Layer with Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese. Place a second slice of bread on top and pinch edges together using a fork. Brush with melted butter on both sides of pocket and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Air fry 4-6 minutes, turning over once, until golden brown.

For Meat Lovers: Place 3 slices of bread on a nonstick baking tray and spread a tablespoon of marinara on each. Layer with Mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and a little more Mozzarella. Place a second slice of bread on top and pinch edges together using a fork. Brush both sides of pocket with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Air Fry 4-6 minutes, turning over once, until golden brown.

Note:  Sautéed  vegetables such as spinach or mushrooms can be added to pizza pockets.
