Texas Beef Burger

Total Time: 1 Hour, Makes 8 Burgers


  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

For Serving

  • ½ cup salsa
  • Optional other toppings (tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese, bacon)
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 8 burger buns


  1. Combine the ground beef and spices in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Divide the meat into 8 quarter-pound burgers and shape into patties.
  3. Cook the patties on the grill until done.

To serve

Place a patty on the bottom bun and top with salsa and other favorite toppings. Spread a generous amount of guacamole on the inside of the top bun.
